About NatureWandrr

A free resource for exploring America's parks.

NatureWandrr exists to make the outdoors easier to reach. National and state parks belong to all of us, but the information you need to visit them is scattered across dozens of agency websites. Our goal is to gather it in one free, accessible place.

From the founder, Jacob Maldonado

One of the most important parts of my life is the outdoors — and, more specifically, the chance to go explore and create new experiences. Stepping into nature has a way of melting away all of life's worries.

But one of the hardest parts of getting out there is our national and state park systems themselves. They're fragmented, and it can be a real hassle to track down the right permits and make sure you meet every requirement — especially since each state runs its own system differently.

I built NatureWandrr to consolidate all of that information, keep it free, and make it as accessible as possible for anyone who wants to enjoy the parks. My hope is to cover all 50 states one day, funded by user donations and ads rather than paywalls.

So if you're able to, please consider allowing ads on this site — it's what keeps the resource free for everyone. And if NatureWandrr has been useful to you, or you'd like to see it keep growing, feel free to make a donation below. Or, heck — buy me a beer. Thanks for using this resource.
