Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

NatureWandrr is a free resource that helps people explore US national and state parks. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including how advertising cookies are used on this site.

Information we collect

We collect only what a feature needs to work:

  • Waitlist email — if you join the early-access waitlist, we store the email address you provide so we can notify you when NatureWandrr opens up.
  • Feedback — if you use the "What can we improve on?" form, we store the message you send and, only if you choose to include it, an email address to follow up with.
  • Park searches and filters — search terms and filters you use on the Discover page are processed to return results. Park data itself comes from public sources (the National Park Service API and state open-data portals).
  • Basic technical data — like any website, our hosting provider may process standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) to serve pages and protect against abuse.

We do not ask for a date of birth, phone number, or physical address, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use your information

We use what you submit only to:

  • Notify you about early access (waitlist) and respond to your feedback if you left an email.
  • Understand what to improve in the park-discovery and map features.
  • Keep the service secure and reliable.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share anything you submit with advertisers.

Advertising & cookies

NatureWandrr is free, and we use Google AdSense to help support the site. The following disclosures apply to advertising on this site:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info or, in the EU, at www.youronlinechoices.eu.
  • For more information about how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, see Google's policy on partner sites.

Additional guidance on ad-cookie choices is available from the Network Advertising Initiative.

Your choices

  • You can use the ad opt-out links above to limit personalized ads.
  • Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.
  • You can request access to, or deletion of, a waitlist email or feedback you've submitted by contacting us (see below).

Data retention

We keep waitlist emails until you ask us to remove them or until the early-access program ends, and we keep feedback for as long as it's useful for improving the service. You can ask us to delete either at any time using the contact details below. Submissions are stored in our database (Supabase, encrypted at rest) and are never sold or shared with advertisers.
